In 2020, talented young showjumper Katie Simpson dies unexpectedly. Most people in the horse community accept the verdict of suicide, but a local journalist, Tanya Fowles, is immediately suspicious.

Tanya has lived close to Katie’s tiny village for years and knows everyone. In the crosshairs of her suspicions is champion showjumper and horse trainer, Jonathan Creswell.
